Farm Fresh

If you haven’t joined the Farmer’s Market party yet, I highly recommend you hop on board.

My family and I frequented the Farmer’s Market in Vista on Saturday mornings, and today we got our feet wet at the Gainesville Downtown Farmer’s Market.

It was fun to see all of the fruits, vegetables, and herbs native to the area that we had not seen in SoCal. I can’t wait to whip up some yummy foods with what we found!

Roselles! These are a species of hibiscus.

Roselles can be boiled down to create tea.

Basil. Okay, I’ve seen basil before, but not with red leaves! Caprese will commence.

Castelvetrano olives!

Had to catch a scenery shot. If you don’t already, you really should support your local farmer’s market, as it helps to boost your local economy. Not to mention farm fresh foods are the best!
